Like with most aeloid nudibranchs, the cerata of this species is easily dropped when the animal is disturbed. This is a way for them to defend themselves similar to a gecko dropping its tail. The pale color is similar to a solar powered nudibranch but it has a smaller shape: only about 2.5 cm. Mostly found in sandy areas or rubble.
