Bluish white body with variable longitudinal black and sometimes yellow stripes. It has a yellowy orange submarginal band near the gill edges and rhinosphores are yellow to bright orange. Appears to be highly variable or may involve some forms presently included in the name which could represent additional species. The length is around 55mm.
