YELLOW BARRED PARROTFISH

The adult has a dark bluish to greenish gray body with a large blue-green to green area over its nape and upper forebody. There are dark and pale bands from eye to pectoral fin. The subadult has a yellowish body with gray head and three gray saddle bars on its back. May have a whitish stripe from eye to tail. Lives solitary or forms groups in reef areas, 1-25m depth.
