BLUEBARRED PARROTFISH

The adult has a blue to green body with salmon to pink scale margins. Usually there is a pale salmon area located above and behind pectoral fin. There are blue to green bands on chin and behind eye. The subadult has a yellow or yellow green body with four or five diffuse blue bars on sides. There are blue bands around mouth and eye with blue fin margins. Lives solitary in reef areas, 2 - 30 m depth.
