This species has a bluish gray head with red spots and blotches. Their body is red with dark scale outlines. It has four or five white spots on their back and tail base, three or four white spots on its side and a row of whitish blotches on lower side. Lives in sand or rubble bottoms of caves and ledges, in 5-30 m depth.
