Reddish orange with distinctly black scale margins; dark edged pale bands on head and upper back, below dorsal fins. They have two bands on their nape behind their eye which join to form a "Y" and a third band behind splits to form and inverted "Y" in front of their pectoral fin, and an elongated second dorsal spine.
