This species has a whitish body with 3 longitudinal rows of large oblong brown spots. There are three diagonal rows of orange to brown lines from below the eye to the rear gill cover and a white streak on the pectoral fin. Lives in rubble or sandy areas, in 1-15m depth. Shares its burrow with shrimp.
