This species has a pale gray body with a whitish underside and four wide brown bars with brown reticulations and thin bars between. Also, there is a narrow brown band below the eye and a wider band on the rear gill cover. Lives in sandy areas, in 12-25 m depth. Shares its burrow with shrimp.
