This species has a gray or blue body with black scale margins. There are numerous blue lines and spots on their head. It has black dorsal spine tips and a large black spot on their pectoral fin base. Its also has faint whitish wavy lines on tail, posterior dorsal and anal fins. Lives in reef or sand areas in 5-30 m depth.
