| This species of frogfish is frequently found among algae, sponge, hard and soft coral, on walls as well as on rubble. The adults have their body overgrown by warty like bumps, juveniles, referred to as clown frogfish are smooth, yellow or white with red coloured rim on their dorsal fin and across the centre of their body.
