CALAMARIS SEA URCHIN

Echinothris calamaris

The Calamaris sea urchin has two kinds of spines, the white ones are thicker and the darker ones are smaller and thinner. The anal sac has white spots. Found under coral heads and coral rubble in shallow reef habitats. Also can cause painful puncture wounds.
