This species is the most famous kind because it is easily can be identified by the unique blue color, with a wide black stripe and has a bright yellow tail. The adults are a shy species and they like to hide in coral crevices and they like to swim in areas with current so they can feed on zooplankton. The juvenile mostly stays near branching coral like Acropora or Pocillopora so they can shelter. The size can be up to 31 cm for adult.
